it's that time of year when everyone is starting to talk about either where they just returned from traveling, or where they are heading.
with spring break coming up quicker than usual this year and president's day already long behind me in days crossed off my calendar...i cannot help but be a bit hopeful that a trip might be still in the making for the Q1 in my own life. some people have it figured out and know how to make a real plan for themselves!
like my friend kelly who snuck away early to hawaii, where she truly allowed herself to r&r like in the movies. or karen, who managed to wrangle time in her schedule for both herself and her son - for some amazing skiing in lovely steamboat springs, colorado. i have dreams where i might still get in a good ski trip while i am still able to actually ski!
then there is my friend dan who just called recently and has me totally convinced that a warm , sunny, sandy, blue sky horizon "for days", with hours of surprise filled snokeling - down in sunny bahama's - is the way to go. then there is the still chilly option of snowmobiling up in the northwoods. hmm, while not top on my list it, (well maybe not even on my list) it none-the-less makes me want to pack my bags and get away.

so the seeds have been planted. germination is in process and i am going to get somewhere soon...stay tuned for the map pushpin to follow.
